Hiring Scams

While searching for jobs, and even when I’m not, I’ve seen many ads and job listings advertising a remote position that offers $30/hr or more, with no qualifications needed. What a great offer!

But no :((

It’s not :(((((

In fact, this type of ad is a scam, often wasting time and seeking personal information. It was meant to prey on people who are desperate for a job and were not thinking clearly.

I know these types of job listings are scams because of how unrealistic they are. Very few jobs will offer high pay for little to no work, especially for an entry level position. Even if a job listing is from a real and trustworthy company, it is still important to consider how realistic a job offer is. Using common sense is important and can allow people to be aware of any type of scam.

I’ve also seen many ads similar to this where they boast about their amazing benefits, its awful how they are trying to take advantage of peoples’ desperation. Thank you so much for posting about this!
